L605 / Haynes 25 Alloy is cobalt-based wrought alloy that is resistant to oxidation and carburization coupled with excellent high temperature strength. The tungsten and nickel improve the alloy’s machinability, while chromium contributes to its solid-solution strengthening.l605 is purely cobalt based alloys.

Heat treatment:

Bars shall be solution heat treated by heating to a temperature within the range 2150 to 2250 °F, holding at the selected temperature within ±25 °F for a time commensurate with section thickness, and cooling at a rate equivalent to an air cool or faster. Hardness of bars 277 HB max.
